I'm a co-blogger at All Things Urban Fantasy, while Read Fragment is where other genres wash ashore.
This is my favorite of Megan Hart's books thus far. Olivia and Alex are realistically painted; two believable, nuanced adults embarking on a new relationship. Their personal lives are about as complicated as can be, and if anything tested my credulity it was their respective pasts. That, and what felt like a rushed, manufactured confrontation just before an abrupt ending. This conflict felt much more formulaic than the "getting to know you" growing pains that had preceded it. Hart beautifully writes that familiar tension of opening up to someone, falling in love, and maintaining that affection through the trials real life. I would have loved this book all the more if that day to day life was all the conflict it contained. Then again, I have not read the preceding book which introduces Alex, an oversight I look forward to correcting. Maybe coming back to NAKED with Alex's introduction in mind, I'll have a different opinion.
