The build up and execution of an erotic shifter novel is a delicate proposition, and FALKE'S PEAK succeeds with more or less success. Furthermore, it's successes center on the more difficult (and important) end of the spectrum, with a satisfying story line and well-developed characters. While the initial sex scenes had phenomenal build up and execution, after those first all important encounters the book seemed like it was just working through an erotic punch list. Over all, however, I enjoyed the relationships and interplay between characters, and will look for more of Keaton and Layle's novels in the future.
