Holy cow, I cannot stop talking about how much this series impresses me. More and more with each additional book. The way Brockmann develops her character arcs is absolutely fantastic. I love how she combines action and romance with just that extra dose of realism, playing with my expectations in ways that totally work. This book contains two HEAs that I never saw coming, and thus, have come some of my all time favorites. I *adore* an author that allows her characters to make mistakes, to experience attraction and sex without formulaiclly following that with a vanilla marriage and ride off into the sunset. I already knew that Brockmann kept her couples interesting and relavent long after their own HEA, now I've learned that she isn't afraid to change things up on the front end, too. This book makes me so happy.
