I'm a co-blogger at All Things Urban Fantasy, while Read Fragment is where other genres wash ashore.
For better or for worse, I often spend the first quarter of a Jane Yellowrock novel trying to remember what came before. I usually find myself back on Goodreads to make sure that this *really* is the next book in the series for me to read. As vivid and captivating as I find Jane, the politics and plot around her often fades to the background. Jane and Beast are worth it, though, they're complex and dynamic. Men come on and off Jane's radar, but I don't have a strong preference for any of them. I just want Jane to be happy and safe, because she's the reason I read this series. DEATH'S RIVAL throws a few new twists into the mix, including a scene with Leo and Bruiser that broke my heart. Life is getting complicated for Jane, this series feels like it's on the cusp of a game changer between her and the vampires. I can't wait!
