Possibly one of my most discussed/ remembered/ reflected upon books, the individual stories and vignettes of INFINITE JEST are haunting in the truest sense of the word. In a variety of circumstances I've had a moment of Wallace's prose spring to mind and I'm at a loss to try and convey the complex emotions, opinions, and circumstances that produced it. I'm not saying this is an easy read or even a particularly beautiful one, but Wallace's complex story delivers time and time again. This book is worth the work.
