I liked that these characters don't completely lose themselves in the tough guy cant that can make some Ashley books repetitive, but despite the marginally more normal speech patterns, there was still a lot of repetition. Feb and Colt have just about the same inner monologue on a loop for the first portion of the book, right up until they get together. The circumstances of their break up was bad, but I'm not sure I ever felt like it was worth all the trouble. I think I would have liked this story more if they were strangers rather than long lost lovers.
