An auspicious start to a new vampire mythology, BONDED BY BLOOD
combines the sexiest of contemporary themes with the danger and chivalry of an ancient peoples. Dom and Mackenzie share a strong physical chemistry, and the dance that brings them together draws the sexual tension out to perfection. I still have some questions about vampire society as a whole, as we only see Guardians and the Darkblood Alliance, and some critical parts of Dom's relationship with his brother took place "off screen" before the epilog, an anticlimactic choice from the author. All in all, however, one of the most well written blends of urban fantasy and paranormal romance I've read in a long time, looking forward to continuing the series.
