After so much hype, this book was a bit of a disappointment. Part of this is my standards for heroines, Brittany is spunky but very young and naive. The scene where she makes her "big play" to save Alex just turned my stomach, such a childish view of relationships and sex. I liked the interplay between characters, but Alex and Brittany never seemed too much more than caricatures. I liked Katie McGerry's PUSHING THE LIMITS more, though PERFECT CHEMISTRY gets brownie points for making me want to reread PUSHING THE LIMITS.
